Emily Sedillo is a student in the Global Track of the Vanderbilt University MPH program scheduled to graduate this spring. She is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine before starting the MPH program. During her time in undergrad she traveled to Kenya for a Public Health Nutrition course where her passion for the field of public health and particularly within the topic of nutrition and maternal/child health started. She has recently traveled back to Kenya to complete her Master’s practicum with Lwala Community Alliance and could not be more grateful to them for fostering such an incredible learning and professionally formative experience.
