How to Join

Apply to be a SAC member for the 2016-17 academic year!

The purpose of the Student Advisory Council is to bring together diverse students interested in global health with the goal of fostering cross-disciplinary student networking and collaboration. We’re looking for student leaders interested in global health from across majors and school programs to help guide global health programming, which includes the annual Global Health Case Competition. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from all Vanderbilt college and school are eligible and encouraged to apply for a leadership position. 

The VIGH Student Advisory Council serves as the official liaison between the Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health and the Vanderbilt student body. Our mission is to foster interdisciplinary awareness and understanding of global health within the Vanderbilt community by:

  1. Serving as a medium of communication between the Vanderbilt student body and Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health
  2. Promoting service, research, and educational opportunities
  3. Actively facilitating collaboration and action
