2024 Global Health Case Competition

This year's case competition was held February 17-24. Interdisciplinary teams of 4-6 students had one week to research and develop a proposal to halve the maternal mortality rate in Ghana before presenting their proposal to a panel of judges on Febraury 24.

The competition is a fun and fabulous way to gain experience in global health consulting, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and create an innovative proposal. All students are encouraged to participate in this unique experience! Students can register as an individual, partial team, or full team.

Important dates (all events held in Stevenson 4327):

  • Case reveal: Feburary 17, 1-2pm
  • Case competition: Febraury 24, 8am-1pm (coffee, breakfast, and lunch provided); business casual dress code; keynote speaker: Dr. Michael DeBaun

The case document, detailed schedule, and other useful information can be found in this folder.

Have questions? Email the case competition co-chairs: Ellie or Josh.

A big thank you to all the student volunteers who help plan, organize, and host the events and to the competitions judges!
