7. Turn the pipette to a vertical position and drain the liquid.

8. Repeat the rinsing with another portion of the liquid to be used.

9. Draw liquid into the pipette and let it come an inch or two above the calibration mark.

10. Lift the tip of the pipette above the surface of the liquid.

11. Remove the bulb from the pipette, capping the pipette with your finger at the same time.
