Overview:

Christina Mercado Jimenez is a 2nd year Ph.D. Student in the Department of Chemistry studying under the direction of Dr. Jens Meiler and Dr. Kaitlyn Ledwitch. Her research includes computational and structural biology and evaluating the structural basis of oncogenic mutations of membrane proteins EGFR and HER2 from the receptor tyrosine kinase family with biophysical techniques.

Christina is thrilled to be participating in outreach programs, passing along scientific inspiration. This is Christina’s second year participating as a VINSE NanoGuide.
