Friday night (6-10 pm) there will be a reception at Alumni
Hall at Vanderbilt University, in room 100 (the Alumni
Lounge).There
will be drinks and local food staples (barbeque, spicy

walk through Vanderbilt's campus, it is on the main quad
(Alumni Lawn) and right behind the big building (Kirkland
Hall) with the single clock tower, which is visible from

Saturday Evening
Saturday night there will be a festive interlude before the
keynote presentation and immediately after.There are many
fine dinner options in the vicinity or in nearby downtown
Nashville (a list will be made available before the
conference).
Since the last Midwest conference in Nashville, the city
has become a true culinary center and 'foodie'
destination.For
those interested in a fantastic meal, a few great options

After dinner, there will be informal dancing and drinking
downtown at the local Nashville 'honkey tonks' beginning
at ~9 PM.The
most famous are located on the north side of Broadway Ave.
(US Hwy 70) between Fourth and Fifth Streets.Robert's Western
World rocks this planet.Neighboring Legends and Tootsies are also great.Shuttles from
hotels as well as taxis are readily available to bring and
