Title IX Dissemination of policy regulation 34 CFR 106.9 refers to the non-discrimination statement that must be included in any publication used for the purpose of recruiting students or employees and also requires the non-discrimination statement to include the name and/or title, address and contact information for the Title IX Coordinator. Other regulations e.g. section 503, Title VI, require the name and contact information for person/s responsible for responding to discrimination complaints be included in the non-discrimination statement when used in publications intended for the recruitment of students and employees.

Statement for university letterhead:
Although not required by policy, use of the job advertisement statement on university stationery is encouraged. Because the words Vanderbilt University already appear on the letterhead, the phrase “An equal opportunity, affirmative action employer” across the bottom of the stationery is sufficient.
