Promethia: The third main point is that the higher the level of civilization, the better off the population. This statement explains why people from countries of low-level civilization continually risk their lives to try to escape into countries of high-level civilization.  People who live in countries of high-level civilization are usually happier because the population is well off.  These people can enjoy better education, better medical care, less crime, better food, better jobs, better homes, and a longer life on average (Vancourt).
