16. Drain the liquid into the container holding the pipette almost vertical, its tip touching the side of the container.  Do not blow out the liquid remaining within the tip.  The liquid remaining in the tip is included in the factory calibration of any pipette.

17. After you finish, rinse the pipette with DI water.  Never allow solutions to dry inside a pipette.
