Two new handouts on the Writing Studio’s handouts page: “Topic Sentence” and “Structure of an Analytical Paragraph”

We’re excited to share news of several recent updates and additions to the Writing Studio’s Handouts page.

What’s New?: Writing Studio Handouts page

Two New Handouts: “Topic Sentences” and “Structure of an Analytical Paragraph”

First, we have added two new handouts created by Paige Elliott (’24), as her Immersion project during her time as an Undergraduate Writing Consultant. Both are available to view or download as a PDF from the Handouts page in the new “Common Essay Elements” section:

Both handouts cover topics Paige found she frequently discussed during her writing consultation sessions, and each handout offer clear advice grounded in reference to carefully selected examples.

A New Look and New Organization

In addition to the new handouts, we have also given the organization of the Handouts page a refresh. As visitors to the page will see, all of our handouts are now organized into a new set of categories and subcategories intended to help make it easier to navigate our handouts collection.
