Dinner and a Draft on 3/24 with Dr. Lars Plate
You are invited to Dinner and a Draft, a chance to sit down to a great dinner, chat about writing, and get to know a Vanderbilt professor in a fun, informal setting.
Our spring Dinner and a Draft event is coming up on Wednesday, March 24 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Commons Programming Tent with faculty guest Professor Lars Plate. Dr. Plate is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biological Sciences. His research focuses on the dynamics and coordination of protein interaction networks in protein misfolding diseases and viral infections. His work develops new mass spectrometry and chemical biology tools to study the consequences of disrupted protein interactions in these diseases, which then guides the identification of therapeutic strategies.
Join the Writing Studio and our host Dean Gresalfi as we share a meal, talk about the challenges and rewards of getting words on the page, and get to know Dr. Plate.
Space is limited so reserve a spot here soon. If you have any questions, please email simone.mccarter@vanderbilt.edu.
We hope to see you there!
(*First-year students given priority for this event, which is held in partnership with the Dean of the Ingram Commons.)
