Dinner and a Draft with Piyali Bhattacharya (Creative Writing)
January 26, 2017
6:00-7:30 pm, Dean of the Ingram Commons Residence
Get a great dinner. Get a new perspective on writing. Get to know a Vanderbilt Writer-in-Residence in a fun, informal setting. Those are three reasons you should attend “Dinner and a Draft,” coming up on Thursday, January 26, from 6:00-7:30, at the Dean of the Ingram Commons Residence!
Our guest of honor will be Piyali Bhattacharya, Vanderbilt Writer-in-Residence, whose fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Ploughshares, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic and many others. She is also the editor of the volume Good Girls Marry Doctors: South Asian American Daughters on Obedience and Rebellion, published in September 2016, and is currently at work on her first novel.
On January 26 Piyali Bhattacharya will be joining us for dinner to share a little about her writing process for both fiction and nonfiction and to talk with you about yours in a fun, informal setting. Join the Writing Studio and our host Vanessa Beasley, as we share a meal, talk about the challenges and rewards of getting words on the page, and get to know this talented author. It’s going to be a fantastic evening.
Space is limited, so reserve a spot soon here.
