Dinner and a Draft with Janet Macdonald (Chemistry)
September 20, 2016
6:30-8:00 pm, Dean of the Ingram Commons Residence
Get a great dinner. Get a new perspective on writing. Get to know a professor in a fun, informal setting. Those are three reasons you should attend “Dinner and a Draft,” coming up on Tuesday, September 20, from 6:30-8:00, at the Dean of the Ingram Commons Residence!
Our guest of honor will be Professor Janet Macdonald. Professor Macdonald studies nanoparticles. And, believe it or not, writing is an essential part of her work. So, what’s the writing life of scientist like? Here’s your chance to find out.
Professor Macdonald will be sharing her own struggles with and insights into the writing process with us and eager to be part of a conversation with you about yours. (We’ll ask her about her skateboarding, too.)
Join the Writing Studio and our host Vanessa Beasley, as we share a meal, talk about the challenges and rewards of getting words on the page, and get to know Professor Macdonald. It’s going to be a fantastic evening.
Space is limited, so reserve a spot soon here.
(*Please note: All students are welcome, but first-year students given priority for this September 20 event which is held in partnership with the Dean of the Ingram Commons.)
