The Office of the University Chaplain & Religious Life (OUCRL) is excited to welcome the Rev. Naomi Washington-Leapheart as this year’s Chaplain’s Speaker Series Lecturer. As a minister and organizer who engages in intersectional work, Rev. Washington-Leapheart currently serves as the Faith Work Director of the National LGBTQ Task Force and Adjunct Professor in the Theology and Religion Departments at Villanova University.
Rev. Washington-Leapheart will engage the topics of black and queer liberation, spiritual resistance, the academy, allyship, and how student activism is playing a pivotal role in societal change.
“Clearing Out the Closet” Workshop

Spiritual trauma is a vast and complicated subject for people of color, queer-identified persons and people who love them, and communities living below the poverty line. The aim of this workshop is to offer practical means by which to engage wounds caused by spiritual communities in a brave environment. Open to the Nashville Community. Brunch Provided.
