In celebration of Black women, Vanderbilt University’s African Student Union, in collaboration with various organizations, will be holding Black Girl Fest. This event is meant to showcase the attributes that characterize black girl excellence, while simultaneously promoting mentorship with neighboring high schools, career development, and community strengthening with other college students and professionals in the Nashville area. Black Girl Fest will include a main exhibition containing a range of presentations by local professionals and organizations, multiple side panels on the topic of career planning and self-branding, and recreational events for all attendees to enjoy.
