Parking & Transportation

First-Year Students

Undergraduate parking permits are available only to upper-division students (sophomores, juniors, & seniors).

Transfer Students

Parking is primarily reserved for upper-division students (juniors and seniors). However, a limited number of vehicle parking spaces are available to sophomores on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once these spaces are sold out, a waiting list is created if a space becomes available. Juniors and seniors are eligible to purchase parking permits and may park in the areas designated by their permit types. More information can be found on the Parking Services website or by emailing parking@vanderbilt.edu. Reasonable accommodation requests should be sent to Student Access at  studentaccess@vanderbilt.edu or parking@vanderbilt.edu.

Visitors

Campus visitors and Vanderbilt community members can now use new hourly paid parking spaces in select parking lots and garages across campus for short-term and visitor parking needs. More information can be found on the MoveVU website or by emailing MoveVU@vanderbilt.edu.

Sustainable Transportation Options

Information about sustainable transportation options including walking, biking, scootering, public transit (with use of the “QuickTicket by WeGo” app), Ridehail, as well as VandyRide and Mobility Ride services can be found on the MoveVU website or by emailing MoveVU@vanderbilt.edu.
