Facility Alert Notifications (FAN) is a system to communicate to users’ cell phones (voice or text), landline, and/or Vanderbilt email account in the event of a planned or unplanned utility outage that affects your building or any other buildings you select when you sign up.
Examples of planned outages include but are not limited to planned elevator maintenance or heating loss (steam). Unexpected events may also occur such as a water or electrical outage. The FAN system is designed to alert you as soon as possible and provide further information about the outage.
