The VUMO Assets Management department creates, maintains and reports all VUMO asset data in order to properly maintain equipment. The department also identifies facility renewal projects and determines what maintenance can be deferred by utilizing building surveys and meeting with key campus stakeholders.

The department continues to expand its serialized assets initiative which provides a way for employees or customers to scan the asset to access photographs, manufacturer, model/serial numbers, installation year, planned replacement year, replacement cost, part information, attribute (horsepower, air flow, etc.), reporting information and service thresholds.
