ViSE Seminar: Thursday February 7th, 11:50am, Stevenson 5326 – Enabling technologies: Is this the end of colonoscopy as we know it?
This talk will describe different enabling technologies developed by Dr. Obstein, Dr. Valdastri, and their collaborators at the STORM Lab with the final goal of replacing colonoscopy with a more patient friendly alternative, based on capsule robots. After an overview of the state of the art, we will focus the talk on real-time pose detection of capsule robots, wireless tissue palpation, and wireless insufflation.
