Title: Interventional Pulmonology: How the changing landscape of lung cancer provides unprecedented opportunities for translational and clinical research
Speaker Biography: Fabien Maldonado, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Surgery in the division of allergy, pulmonary and critical care medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where he joined as faculty after spending 9 years at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. His interests cover a broad range of topics including interventional pulmonology, lung cancer, pleural diseases and interstitial lung diseases. His main research interest has been in volumetric quantitative imaging for lung cancer and he is currently receiving funding from the Department of Defense for his work on a computed tomography-based lung nodule classifier platform.
