ViSE affiliates join editorial boards of prominent medical journals
BME and ViSE visibility continues to grow – Professors Bob Galloway and Mike Miga have accepted terms on editorial boards at two prominent medical journals.
Bob Galloway, pro
fessor of biomedical engineering, will serve on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering. Of particular focus will be his development of a special journal issue on therapeutic devices. The IEEE, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, is known to be one of the world’s largest professional association for the advancement of technology.
Michael Miga, professor of biomedical engineering, will serve on the editorial board of the Journal of Medical Imaging, a new publication of SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. The journal will launch in early 2014 and cover fundamental and translational research and applications focused on photonics in medical imaging.
