Vanderbilt team competes at NSF I-CORPS

Posted by on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in News.

A Vanderbilt team successfully completed the NSF I-CORPS program. The three-person team was comprised of Entrepreneurial Lead Bryan Hartley from the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, Principal Investigator Robert Webster from the Department of Mechanical and Engineering, and Business Mentor Kelley Dantoulis from CTTC.

I-Corps prepares scientists and engineers to extend their focus beyond the laboratory, and broadens the impact of select, NSF-funded, basic-research projects.

This program teaches NSF grantees to identify valuable product opportunities that can emerge from academic research, and offers entrepreneurship training to participants by combining experience and guidance from established entrepreneurs through a targeted curriculum.
