Bennett A. Landman appointed as the next Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medical Imaging
May. 18, 2023—On 1 January 2024, Bennett A. Landman, Vanderbilt University, will become the new Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medical Imaging (JMI). Landman, a professor and the department chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Vanderbilt, succeeds the journal’s current Editor-in-Chief, Maryellen Giger, who inaugurated the role in 2014.
Vanderbilt students win best paper awards at SPIE international medical imaging forum
Mar. 10, 2023—Four Vanderbilt engineering students working in the fields of computer science, electrical and computer engineering, and biomedical engineering won best paper awards out of hundreds of papers presented at the 2023 SPIE Medical Imaging conference held Feb. 19-23 in San Diego.

SPIE and Vanderbilt University announce $1 million optical engineering faculty fellowship
