Overview
TuanKhai is a third-year Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science, working under the guidance of Dr. Mark Does and Dr. Kevin Harkins. His research focuses on developing MRI techniques to study micro-structural changes in neurodegenerative white-matter diseases, particularly using diffusion MRI simulations to investigate axonal properties. The ultimate aim of his work is to enhance diagnostic methods for patients with such disease conditions.
In addition to his research, TuanKhai is passionate about outreach, aiming to inspire future generations in science and engineering. He is an active member of the NanoGuides team at the VINSE Microfluidics and Analytical Lab.
