Interdisciplinary Materials Science

Overview

John is a first-year graduate student in the interdisciplinary materials science program who does his research in both Josh Caldwell’s nanophotonic devices laboratory and Valentine nanoscale laboratory. John’s interdisciplinary research interests include studying material properties as extremely lesser dimension to understand how high-efficient energy materials can be fabricated. John is passionate about science outreach and he has started helping with the Cleanroom Solar Cell and Microfluidics field trips. And he intends to continue leading the VINSE field’s trip through his program at Vanderbilt. He is also involved with other educational outreach programs on campus.
