Overview
The PDMS Aligner is a tool used to align two layers of patterned PDMS for multilayer microfluidic device assembly. An X/Y/R translation stage and a Z translation stage allow for precise relative positioning between the two layers of patterned PDMS and controlled contact between the two PDMS layers after the alignment is finalized. Two USB cameras with 20x magnification and integrated LED lighting are connected to a computer for live imaging during alignment to increase alignment accuracy. This tool was built based on a design published by Dr. Jianping Fu here.
