Every three years, the VINSE community comes together to welcome the larger Nashville community to learn about nanoscience through facility tours and hands-on demonstrations such as 3D printing, electroplating, graphene transfer, hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties, light diffraction and ferrofluids.
Discover Answers to Unique Questions Like:
- How can scientists make a nickel look like a penny?
- Can something be a liquid and a solid?
- How does something assemble itself?
- How can you win a Nobel Prize with just a pencil and tape?
- Why are rainbows not the same?
- Can something that is clear also be colorful?
- How do you keep sand dry in a bucket of water?
In addition to demonstrations, participants also have the opportunity to tour VINSE’s Cleanroom, Analytical Lab and Advanced Imaging facilities.
