s a service to VINSE core facility users, many consumable items are available at nominal cost to support fabrication and characterization efforts. These include specialized AFM probe tips and grinding and polishing supplies for TEM sample prep. Starting Jan 2025, the VINSE cleanroom will provide 3-inch silicon wafers and 8.5” x 11” cleanroom-compatible lab notebooks for purchase.
Silicon wafers are available in n-type or p-type, (100) crystal orientation, single-side polish. These are ideal for full wafer processing or dicing into smaller sample chips using the Disco dicing saw. Plastic petri storage dishes are provided by staff. Pricing is $12 each per wafer, $15 each per notebook, and can be billed through iLab. Please contact cleanroom staff for purchasing instructions.
