Congratulations to VINSE faculty member Carlos Silvera Batista! Batista has won the National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award for his project “Colloidal Dynamics under Electrodiffusiophoresis.”
The prestigious NSF CAREER award is a five year grant. Batista’s begins on February 1, 2023, and will run through 2028.
Batista, an assistant professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, joined the engineering faculty from the University of Michigan where he was a President’s Postdoctoral Fellow. He also has served as a post-doctoral researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Batista earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Florida and a B.E. in chemical engineering from City College of New York.
