Project 4
Preclinical approaches for advancing precision applications of kappa-opioid receptor ligands in AUD treatment
This project focuses on identifying precision treatment strategies for alcohol use disorder.
Using forward screening of a library of approved and experimental compounds, the project aims to identify interventions which may not show efficacy when examined across a heterogeneous population, but are particular effective in certain types of drinkers.
The overarching goal is to use these individual characteristics to increase the likelihood that an individual is prescribed with the pharmacological intervention that will yield the greatest therapeutic benefit.
