I’m currently involved in projects that aim to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence. My focus is on leveraging the strengths of both machine learning tools and mathematical models to design pipelines that address significant biological questions. This encompasses various dimensions, including computational genomics and bioinformatics. For example, we’re working on constructing 3D reconstructions of tissue slices using spatial transcriptomics data, investigating the progression of cancerous cells, and aligning and integrating diverse spatial transcriptomics slices. This research aligns with the mission of VALIANT by showcasing interdisciplinary collaboration to advance AI research and its applications. Specifically, our work contributes by using AI techniques to deepen our understanding of complex biological phenomena, thereby paving the way for breakthroughs in healthcare, biotechnology, and beyond.
