Amanda Wood

Project Coordinator

Amanda Wood began at the Vanderbilt Project on Unity & American Democracy as the project coordinator in September 2022. Previously, she worked at several Nashville nonprofits in various capacities, including Preston Taylor Ministries as the assistant program director and theatre director, Thistle Farms as the national conference and national events coordinator, and Safe Haven Family Shelter as the volunteer and community relations manager before transitioning to an events and fundraising consultant position. Wood received her Bachelor of Arts in global leadership studies from Belmont University, as well as a minor in theatre and drama. Amanda Wood acts as the Unity Project’s organizational and logistics manager for programs and events hosted by the Unity Project. She maintains the Unity Project’s all-inclusive event calendar, develops event content, connects with the guest speakers, and manages vendor relationships necessary to produce events. Wood also assists the Rogers Center for the American Presidency with event offerings. Wood acts as the Unity Project representative to the Community Engagement Collective and manages many of the Project’s partnerships with adjacent organizations, including Kidizenship, FixUS, and Bridge Entertainment Lab.
