Kristen Johnson, M.S., M.Ed.

Doctoral Intern
Pronouns: she/her/hers

I am deeply honored by the courage and vulnerability required to participate in the therapeutic process, and I strive to help students do so by creating a validating and collaborative space where they can explore and understand both themselves and the challenges that they are experiencing. My hope is that clients who work with me will leave therapy feeling encouraged and empowered to work toward personally meaningful life goals with intention.

Kristen is pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Indiana University. She holds an B.A. in Psychology from Oberlin College, an M.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Georgia, and an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri. Throughout her training, she has provided clinical services in a variety of settings including university counseling centers, college career centers, rehabilitation clinics, and college athletic departments. Through those experiences she has developed an integrative approach to counseling that is tailored to each client’s unique needs, often exploring how systemic forces and past experiences are shaping both a client’s present challenges and their path forward.

For self-care, Kristen enjoys competing in pinball tournaments, singing karaoke, cooking for loved ones, and exercising.
