Annie Holmes, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Pronouns: she/her/hers

I aim to provide compassionate, individualized, and evidenced-based care for all students. I strive to meet students where they are in their mental health journey and create a warm, welcoming space for them to share their story. I approach mental health care with an emphasis on seeing the whole person – mind, body, soul and empowering individuals to participate fully in their care.

Annie is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who joined the UCC in 2024. She earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from Centre College in 2020 and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Annie completed her psychiatric training at Rogers Behavioral Health in Nashville, TN. In 2023, Annie was the inaugural Child & Adolescent Psychiatry APRN Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, providing mental health care to patients between ages 3-26 years old in a variety of settings including inpatient, on the consult liaison psychiatry service, and outpatient clinics.

Annie has experience working with a wide range of mental health disorders including, but not limited to, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and developmental disorders. She believes that mental health is part of physical health, and no individual is defined by their current state or condition.

Annie grew up in Louisville, KY, but now considers Nashville home. In her free time, she enjoys long park walks, trying new restaurants, spending time with her significant other and attending MANY concerts.
