Tutoring Services Spring sessions
Tutoring Services has many ways for you to meet with tutors and engage collaboratively.
At Vanderbilt Tutoring Services, you have the opportunity to meet individually with a talented staff of STEM tutors who can help you enhance your academic performance through the power of active and collaborative learning.
During the 2023-2024 academic year, all tutoring sessions will be held both in-person and online via Zoom. Please look over our appointment policies for further clarification.
Individual (One-on-one or 1-1) appointments are 50 minutes long and open free of charge to all currently enrolled Vanderbilt students.
Students also have the option of sharing a tutoring appointment with a friend for a pair appointment (2 clients and 1 tutor). Both students must be enrolled in the same course and have similar goals for the session. Requests for pair appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance via our online request form.
Students will see the link to the Pair Appointment Request form within the WCOnline Appointment Window (pictured here) when reserving an appointment or later accessing a previously reserved appointment
Weekly Learning Roundtables provide students with the opportunity to study regularly with dedicated peers enrolled in the same course as they work together with other students to master course content.
During Weekly Learning Roundtable meetings, students work together with each other to answer questions and clarify course concepts. A facilitating subject tutor is present at all Weekly Learning Roundtable meetings to help assist working groups as needed. Through studying collaboratively, students improve their own understanding of course material while helping their peers do the same in a supportive environment.
