Transfer Student Appreciation Week 2024
The 3rd annual Vanderbilt University Transfer Student Appreciation Week (TSAW) features social and educational events for transfer students and transfer student supporters. Transfer students are a vital part of the Commodore community, and we want to highlight their contributions and accomplishments. TSAW is scheduled to align with National Transfer Student Week. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20
Transfer Connect Banquet
2:00-4:00pm
Transfer Connect members will be celebrated during this banquet. These Transfer Student Leaders support new transfer students during their transition to Vanderbilt, and their hard work will be honored during this gathering. This is an invitation-only event.
Transfer Student Appreciation Week Kickoff!

Highland Quad
All students are invited to kickoff Transfer Student Appreciation Week while watching a film screening of Disney’s Cruella on the lawn! There will be popcorn, candy, a hot chocolate bar, and more!

In honor of National Transfer Student Week and VU’s Transfer Student Appreciation Week, the Vanderbilt community is invited to come learn about Vandy’s transfer student population. During this tabling event, all students are invited to come play quick games to win prizes and get treats.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22
TSAW Coffeehouse: Open Mic Night

Rothschild College Great Room
All students are invited to come showcase their talents on the mic. Performers can sing, play an instrument, read poetry, etc. A karaoke machine will also be available. Coffee, snacks, and chill vibes will be served.

Dean’s Dinner: Transitions in College

Zeppos College Great Room
Transfer students are invited to have a catered dinner with Dean Melissa Gresalfi. During this dinner, Dr. Gresalfi will share about managing transitions during your academic career. Spots are limited for this event. Only those who are able to RSVP will be able attend. Those who are unable to RSVP will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if spots become available.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24
Explore Nashville: Dyer Observatory
6:00-9:00PM
Meet at Branscomb Circle
Transfer students are invited to learn about the planets from VU’s resident astronomer and look through the giant telescope! Attendees will meet at Branscomb Circle to be transported to the observatory. Attendees will have dinner together at the observatory. The Explore Nashville series includes excursions to local sites and organizations that make a positive impact on the Nashville community. All transportation, entrance fees, meals, etc. are FREE for students. Spots are limited for this event. Only those who are able to RSVP will be able attend. Those who are unable to RSVP will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if spots become available.

Reflections and Recollections Lunch
