Social Venture Initiatives at the Wond’ry
Ambassador Spotlight
The Wond’ry has a variety of programs interested students and faculty can take part in. Programs include Innovation Garage, Pre-flight, Post-flight, I-Corps, and Social Ventures. The Social Ventures program allows students and faculty to work towards addressing and solving issues affecting the Vanderbilt community in addition to the rapidly changing city of Nashville. In partnership with the city of Nashville and local non-profit organizations, the Wond’ry is developing projects focused on solving urban issues such as affordable housing, transportation, and accessible health resources. Currently, the Wond’ry is focusing on organization and facilitation efforts for FutureVU Transportation Working Groups. These groups are are an integral piece of the Chancellor’s Campus Land Use Initiative and are focused on developing potential solutions to the traffic and parking issues that the Vanderbilt community is facing. Participation in the FutureVU working groups was open to all Vanderbilt faculty, staff, and students and the Wond’ry received over 90 applications from interested people to form the groups.
