Thea was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Denver, Colorado. She attended Stanford University where she majored in engineering: product design. Initially, Thea wanted to design healthcare products, and after college, she first worked at a design consultancy firm and then for a technology startup. After some experiences with the healthcare system, Thea decided she wanted to become a physician and moved home to attend medical school at the University of Colorado. She is passionate about health, wellness, patient-centered design, entrepreneurship, and medical technology.
