Michael has over 25 years of medical device product development, operations, and manufacturing experience. He has been involved in the development of hundreds of medical and consumer centric products in a variety of roles, As Chief Operating Officer, Michael focused on developing strategies that helped operating teams successfully meet the company’s mission and development goals. Michael most recently lead Beta Bionic’s Operating teams including Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Medical Affairs, and IT groups ensuring the proper direction of initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Michael is passionate about being accountable to delivering superior products that make a difference.
Previously, as part of Ximedica for over 20 years, Michael lead nearly 300 programs while focusing on developing technologies and strategies that helped Ximedica’s clients and partners successfully commercialize their products. He excelled in supporting companies on how to best manage the right mix of business, technology and portfolio needs while balancing budgetary and time constraints. As part of the management team, he helped Ximedica acquire two smaller organizations as part of its overall growth and through two successful Private Equity transitions before exiting the organization.
Currently, Michael acts in fractional C-suite roles and as advisors to new organizations, he also presents at a variety of industry events on how to successfully commercialize great medical products, advises a variety of medical device companies and sits on the Brown University Engineering Corporate Advisory Board and on the New England Medical Innovation Center’s (NEMIC) Board advises the Cleveland Clinic’s Innovation group.
