Toy Cars
When you were a child, you may have had a toy car, and as an adult you might even have experience working on cars. However, here at the Wond’ry Vanderbilt engineering students are working on a project that combines the two. These students are retrofitting toy cars for children with disabilities.
For children with disabilities, toy cars are not always accessible. If you have a limited range of motion for example, or need greater spinal support, it may be uncomfortable or impossible for you to operate a toy car. However, with the help of a few modifications made by the engineering students, children impacted by these kinds of disabilities will be able to drive these toys to their heart’s content.
If you’re interested in learning more about projects like these, swing by the Wond’ry and we can show you some of the amazing projects like this one that are taking place right under our roof!
