Vanderbilt University students in the New Product Design and Development course recently collaborated with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to develop real-world solutions for areas of need. The course, taught by David Owens, Ph.D., M.S., professor for the Practice of Management and Innovation, is conducted inside the Wond’ry, Vanderbilt’s new innovation makerspace in the Engineering and Science Building. Pictured here, Adetayo Ajayi, a senior Engineering Science major, demonstrates a better way to ensure airway equipment is sterilized and easy to access.
