  • Aug. 6: Grab a reusable bag and various recipes at the Vanderbilt Farmers Market at 3 pm.
  • Aug.7: Visit the Market House restaurants and shops at the NFM, which will be open late until 8 pm.
  • Aug.8: Pick up a free reusable bag and enjoy the music and yoga at the Richland Park Farmers’ Market at 9 am.
  • Aug.8: Enjoy the various “Kids Corner” activities at the NFM from 10 am to 2 pm, including showing your gratitude with the “Thank a farmer” Thank-you note writing event.

For a complete listing of farmers’ markets available throughout all Tennessee counties, visit Pick Tennessee Products’ Farmers’ Market page. Sourcing your food from local sources, like farmers’ markets or CSAs, has many benefits, including:

  • Access to fresh, seasonal produce that is picked at its peak nutrient load;
  • Reducing transportation costs and emissions associated with non-local produce;
  • Cultivation of relationship between growers and consumers;
  • Supporting the local economy; and
  • Promoting farmland, local farmers, and their families.
