RTA increases fare for five bus routes

Effective Jan. 6, 2012, rates will increase for five RTA bus routes:

• Route 89X Springfield/ Joelton Express
• Route 91X Franklin/ Brentwood Express
• Route 92X Gallatin/ Hendersonville Express
• Route 95X Spring Hill Express
• Route 96X Nashville/ Murfreesboro Relax & Ride

Regular fare (one way) is $4 and not sold at Vanderbilt.

A 20-ride pass is $70 — or $47 at the discount rate offered to Vanderbilt employees, graduate and medical students and medical center volunteers, if purchased at the following locations:

• Parking Permit Office at East Garage (Ground Level): 7 a.m.-5 p.m. (615-936-1215)
• Vanderbilt Valet Services at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (615-936-8253)
• Vanderbilt Valet Services in MCN Round Wing: 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. (615-343-8254)
• Vanderbilt University Traffic and Parking Office at Wesley Place Garage: 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. (Closed Tuesdays 2-3:30 p.m.) (615-322-2554)
