As a petitioning officer and adviser of this organization, we affirm that this organization, including all members, officers and advisers, will abide by all Vanderbilt University regulations, policies, and procedures, as described in the Vanderbilt University Student Handbook, in operating this student organization. We affirm that this organization does not participate in or encourage any unlawful activity. By our signatures, we affirm that this organization abides by the University’s nondiscrimination policy as stated below:

In compliance with federal law, including the provisions of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, Executive Order 11246, the
Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, as amended, and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, Vanderbilt University does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of their race, sex, religion, color, national or ethnic origin, age, disability, military service, or genetic information
in its administration of educational policies, programs, or activities; admissions policies; scholarship and loan programs; athletic or other University‐administered programs; or employment. In addition, the University does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of their sexual orientationi, gender identityii, or gender expressioniii. Registered student organizations must be open to all students as members and must permit all members in good standing to seek leadership posts.   1. Sexual orientation refers to a person’s self‐identification as heterosexual, homosexual,
    bisexual, asexual, pansexual, or uncertain.
  2. Gender identity is generally defined as a person’s own sense of identification as male,
    female, both, or neither as distinguished from actual biological sex, i.e. it is one’s
    psychological sense of self.
  3. Gender expression is everything we do that communicates our sense of identification
    to others.

Student Organization Experience Vanderbilt Release
I am a student at Vanderbilt University and an officer of a registered student organization. As an officer, I acknowledge and understand that I may have access to or be provided with confidential information about other students’ financial aid status, when my organization receives information and funding through the Experience Vanderbilt program. I understand that such information is confidential and may not be shared with any person for any purpose. I agree that I will access, review, and use such information only in furtherance of my official duties within the organization, and that I will not disclose the identity of any student receiving financial aid, or disclose, distribute, disseminate, communicate, or provide any other confidential information, to anyone, either within or outside Vanderbilt University. I also agree that I will not copy, duplicate, or otherwise retain any documentation or records about students who receive financial aid. I agree that I will make all reasonable efforts to maintain the security, integrity, and confidentiality of any and all confidential information to which I have access. I further understand and agree that this Confidentiality Agreement continues after the end of my term as a student officer. In addition, I understand that any disclosure may constitute in violation of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), 20.U.S.C. Sec. 1232g; 34 CFR, Pt 99, resulting in penalties imposed by Federal law. Finally, any intentional unauthorized disclosure will constitute a violation of the Code of Conduct imposed on upon students of Vanderbilt University, resulting in student disciplinary action against me.
