About the West End Neighborhood

The West End Neighborhood at Vanderbilt University offers a dynamic environment for events, meetings, and community activities. Anchored by Kensington Promenade and The Green, this area is designed to foster engagement and collaboration. These spaces are vibrant hubs for student and community life. The Kensington Promenade features tree-lined pathways and spaces ideal for relaxation or informal gatherings, while The Green provides open spaces perfect for outdoor activities and social events. The West End Neighborhood is home to several Greek chapters and organizations and other buildings with large meeting spaces, like the Leadership and Service Space (LSS), the Multicultural Community Space (MCS), and the Student Engagement Space (SES).
The Leadership and Service Space (LSS)

Housed in the former Delta Kappa Epsilon house, the Leadership and Service Space serves as a multipurpose venue for student organizations and leadership activities. Designed for flexibility, the Leadership and Service Space is perfect for hosting dialogue dinners, meetings, and events that promote leadership development and community engagement.

The Multicultural Community Space (MCS)

This versatile facility offers a meeting room that can serve as a lounge or be reserved for group discussions, presentations, and more. With a full kitchen, the MCS is also well-equipped for rehearsals, banquets, and post-event gatherings.

The Student Engagement Space (SES)

Housed in the renovated former Sigma Chi house, the Student Engagement Space is a multipurpose facility that meets various student needs. A key feature is Vanderbilt’s first designated Hindu prayer space, created in collaboration with Vandy Karma. This prayer room is a peaceful sanctuary for reflection, Hindu rituals, and cultural education, while the rest of the space supports a wide range of student-led initiatives and gatherings.

Whether you’re planning a conference, a celebration, or a collaborative event, the West End Neighborhood offers a variety of settings that bring people together in meaningful ways.
