Join Us for Dance Marathon
Vanderbilt University Dance Marathon seeks to support the patients and families of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital right here at Vanderbilt. VUDM organizes family events, fundraising opportunities, and a 13.1-hour dance party with music, refreshments, entertainment, and fun. VUDM hopes to celebrate the work done in the Children’s Hospital as well as provide joy for the children experiencing rough times in disease.
This year, VUDM has a fundraising goal of $267,000. The first $50,000 raised funds a pediatric fellow currently conducting research at the Children’s Hospital. Every dollar raised after goes to the Growing to New Heights Campaign, which funds the hospital’s effort to add four more floors to the hospital. An amount of $1,000 can fund one entire room in the Hospital.
On February 20th, 2016, VUDM raised a record-breaking $230,099.16, surpassing the $200,000 fundraising goal for the year. This year, that amount is hoped to be surpassed by another $30,000. Please support Vanderbilt University Dance Marathon, the Children’s Hospital, and the kids by coming to the Big Event on Saturday, February 18th! Come for food, dancing, singing, and an amazing opportunity to impact the lives of kids who deserve it most.
