Vanderbilt’s Student Care Network serves as your primary source for physical and mental health care, but it’s not always possible or convenient to meet with on-campus support staff. To ensure you have support anywhere at any time, Vanderbilt has provided a variety of resources to supplement SCN services.
Virtual student wellness services with Mantra Health
We’re thrilled to partner with digital mental health provider Mantra Health to provide Vanderbilt University students with high-quality support. This all-in-one platform gives students access to the following free virtual services:
Self-Care: These short, self-guided wellness courses can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Learn to reduce your stress, regulate your emotions, build healthier relationships, and get through difficult situations.
Emotional Wellness Coaching:This short-term, goal-oriented intervention is best for students wanting self-management strategies. You’ll get matched with a dedicated and experienced coach who will teach you key skills and work with you through 8-12 weeks of sessions.
Productivity Coaching:This program focuses on improving executive functioning skills. Working with a dedicated coach, you can tackle time management, organization, planning, problem solving, and more.
Therapy and Psychiatry: Enjoy one-on-one sessions with a dedicated, highly trained, culturally-informed provider who understands your unique experience and can help you assess and manage your mental health concerns. (Psychiatry services require a referral from a Student Care Network or Mantra provider.)
ConnectNow: In-the-moment support and problem solving with a mental health professional. This service is available between 11am – 11pm CT via video for any students who are in distress or experiencing immediate mental health challenges.

Visit Mantra Health’s Care Hub or download the app on Apple or Android. Use your school email address to set up an account. It’s free, easy, and includes care navigation support. All students who have paid the Student Health Fee are eligible for this service.

Welltrack Connect
Vanderbilt’s Student Care Network partners with Welltrack Connect – a therapy database that can help students find therapy providers off-campus. Students can create a free account and search providers in Nashville or another state. Students can use filters to search by insurance provider, gender identity, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, religion, language, and several other factors to find their best match. Students can even reach out to providers directly through the HIPAA-compliant Welltrack Connect website.
To sign up, visit Welltrack Connect, select “Student” and use your Vanderbilt email address to create a username and password. Agree to the Terms of Use and “Sign Up”. You’ll receive a confirmation email, which you’ll need to follow to finish the process and then you can search the tailored directory of providers who specialize in student mental health.
Vanderbilt has arranged for students to have free access to Headspace – an award-winning, research-backed digital tool for mindful living with over 1,200+ hours of themed meditations, sleep content, mindful movement exercises, and focus music. With over 75+ research collaborations and 26 published studies as the mindfulness digital intervention of choice, Headspace has been shown to reduce stress, improve focus, increase resilience and happiness. When you meditate with Headspace, every minute counts toward a healthier, happier you. Now, you can keep track of how you're feeling with My Progress. Find it in the Profile tab in the app and see how meditation and mindfulness make a difference over time.

Navigating Change and Anxiety Webinar
MindCheck is an emotional health tool available to students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan. Measure your mindset and get immediate feedback and resources to maintain a positive outlook. You’ll also find tips, articles and videos on a variety of topics that include: relationships, depression, fitness and nutrition, stress, substance use and more. The MindCheck online tool asks you four simple questions so you can be aware of how you’re feeling. You’ll be matched to a color and level to provide insight into your emotional health. And the MindCheck site tracks your history, so you can see how your results change over time. Simply go to mindchecktoday.com to get started. Grad Ready is an online resource covering financial topics such as money management, paying for college, and real-world finance. Visit their website to learn how to manage a budget, understand credit, and increase your savings.
