Vandy Cooks Healthy Appetizers with Beef

Wednesday, July 11, 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center Teaching Kitchen

Join Karman Meyer, Registered Dietitian, as she inspires us to eat healthy with lean beef, an excellent source of protein, vitamin B12, selenium, zinc, niacin, and vitamin B6. This Vandy Cooks will be held Wednesday, July 11 from 12 -1PM at the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center.

Enjoy observing Karman, a regular contributor to the Food and Nutrition magazine, create Taco Lettuce Wraps and Grilled Sirloin Crostini with Wasabi Sour Cream. Attendees will receive samples of dishes created, as well as, recipes complete with nutrition analysis.

Karman is a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist based in Nashville. She is Director of Communications for the Tennessee Beef Industry Council. Teaching people easy ways to implement healthy changes into their lifestyle is her passion! Karman is an experienced recipe developer, nutrition writer, public speaker, and has worked in the food industry for over 10 years.

Vandy Cooks is provided monthly by a partnership with the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center and Health Plus to support healthy eating through cooking presentations featuring the many aspects of food preparation.
