Cassanora is a Student Care Coordinator in the Office of Student Care Coordination at Vanderbilt University. She is a native of Gulfport, MS and received a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University. Cassanora is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She has dedicated her professional career to ensuring those she serves feel heard, supported, and have access to the tools they need to succeed. Cassanora brings several years of providing effective treatment services to diverse populations to this position. She believes the best care is designed with all aspects of the student’s spiritual, cultural, physical, mental, emotional, and educational self in mind. Cassanora is passionate about empowering others to become their best selves through providing access to education, resources, and creating a sense of community. She uses the gift of connection to develop relationships with service providers and to create a pathway between students in need and available university and community resources. In her free time Cassanora enjoys traveling, singing, attending concerts, watching makeup tutorials, and spending time with friends. She is a lifelong servant to those in her community and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Katy Hurst, M.Ed., NCC, Student Care Coordinator

Katy Hurst first joined the Vanderbilt community to earn her Master of Education in Human Development Counseling. While in school, she worked at both the Vanderbilt Employee Assistance Program and the Center for Student Wellbeing. Serving as a counselor and coach in these diverse settings has given her unique perspective on the ethos of Vanderbilt’s campus. As a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Student Wellbeing, she lived out her passion for supporting students in overall health and wellness, academic success, and personal growth. Katy is a Nationally Certified Counselor and approaches her work with students using a person-centered, yet solution-focused approach. She has experienced first-hand the pressures faced by today’s students and strives to provide individually tailored assistance based on each student’s needs. In her own life, Katy cultivates personal wellbeing through yoga and mindfulness and can often be found in the yoga studio. When she is not practicing yoga, she is most likely out and about enjoying Nashville’s music scene. She is incredibly excited to continue her involvement with Vanderbilt as a Student Care Coordinator.

 Ann Eubank, Administrative Assistant

Ann Eubank is a native Nashvillian and has been working at Vanderbilt for over 10 years at the Student Health Center and the Psychological and Counseling Center. She joined the Office of Student Care Coordination as an Administrative Assistant in July 2018. Ann likes to cook, enjoys classic movies, and prefers them both when she can do them with her son who has attended culinary school.
