Holocaust Lecture Series

The final two events in the 40th Anniversary of the Vanderbilt Holocaust Lecture Series are coming up soon! Dr. Shaul Magid, Professor of Jewish Studies at Indiana University, will be speaking at two events: on 4/11/18 at 7:00pm at the Schulman Center (“Is Broken Faith Still Faith? Reflections on the Final Sermons of Rabbi Kalonymous Kalman Shapira of the Warsaw Ghetto”), and on 4/12/18 at 7:00pm at the Vanderbilt Divinity School Reading Room (“Can We Speak of Divine Purpose To The Holocaust? The Shop
“The Shop” is a unique opportunity for students of color to engage in dialogical exchange of wisdom with pastors, activists, professors, and elders from the greater Nashville community concerning the trending cultural topics that impact the lives of people of color. On April 18th at 12:00pm in the OUCRL Fireside Lounge, The Shop will host Judge Rachel Bell to discuss the subject of “Politics and Theology.” For more information, contact the Office of the University Chaplain and Religious Life at religiouslife@vanderbilt.edu.
 
Project Dialogue
On April 3rd at 5:30pm, Project Dialogue’s “Food for Thought” series will conclude for the academic year with Dr. Issam Eido of the Vanderbilt Department of Religious Studies.
